Our Goals
Our goals include promoting a love of literature in a positive and nurturing environment, encouraging critical thinking and deeper engagement with stories, increasing imagination and creativity, reducing the chance of cognitive diseases, meeting new people and sharing experiences of reading, choosing books that expose members to new ideas, genres, and writing styles, and cultivating a reading habit while encouraging members to read more regularly. These goals are encapsulated in the "Our Goals" section of our website, which also features an eye-catching icon of a bullseye to represent our commitment to achieving these objectives.
Hangouts, Location and Time
Once a week, we gather together to discuss the book of the week, which has been carefully
selected in advance. During our meetings, we share our thoughts, experiences, and insights on the
book,
fostering lively discussions that encourage critical thinking and deeper engagement with literature.
We
also take the opportunity to vote on the next book we will read and discuss in the following week,
ensuring that everyone has a say in what we read next. Our book club is a welcoming and inclusive
community that values the power of literature to inspire, challenge, and enrich our lives.
